Michael joined EURORDIS in March 2019 as Chief Operating Officer, based in the Paris office.
As COO he is responsible for the oversight, support, coordination, development and scale–up of EURORDIS Operations, Programmes and Projects covering the following areas: research infrastructures and clinical research; therapeutic development, information and access to medicines; healthcare and European Reference Networks; social services and integrated care; online patient communities and social media; patient advocates’ capacity building; information and communication; and resource development. His role is to ensure that these activities are strategically meaningful, impactful and cost-effective; positioned within the mission, values and strategy of EURORDIS and involving the right partners and stakeholders.
Before joining EURORDIS, Michael worked in Patient Safety for NHS England/NHS Improvement and the NHS National Patient Safety Agency in the United Kingdom.
Michael holds a Master’s degree from King’s College London and BA from Boston College.
