World Health Organization (WHO) report on priority medicines
Eurordis expressed serious reservations concerning the World Health Organization (WHO) Final Report on Priority Medicines for Europe and the World. Eurordis cited three shortcomings in the Report.
- The inconsistency used throughout the Report when addressing rare diseases;
- The limited geographical scope in regards to rare diseases (EU and the USA only);
- The absence of a worldwide reflection on orphan drugs.
